The Connected Room Experience
Purpose of the connected room application is to meet the evolving needs of guests, incorporating existing hotel systems into a consolidated handheld device that offers guests the convenience of in-room digital access to complimentary and paid services, as well as proactive guest assistance. The application is to offer superior personalised service to their guests and make them feel like exclusive VIPs.
The mobile application was built as a template-based front-end, which was controlled by its admin application allowing central display and flow based changes. Through the device, guests can adjust the lighting, control the thermostat and even control the in-room TV. They’ll also have the option to order room service, make dinner reservations at GIADA (in house Restaurant), and request housekeeping before they leave the comfort of their room. With the app, the user can manage his/her bookings with a single click. The app also provides a “Discover” page, allowing customers to be informed of nearby entertainment and nightlife – and with the support from the Microsoft Cloud, recommendations can be individually displayed to suit each guest.
For the property, the Connected Room allows employees to update in-room guest content, including menu items, promotions and shows, which change frequently in Las Vegas. This all is managed by the user friendly Super Admin Panel from where an admin can manage the entire content of the app.
